Astrological Journey through the Houses

Astrology provides a rich tapestry of insight, mapping out a person’s life through the 12 houses. Each house represents different facets of life, and as we age, we progress through these houses in a predictable manner. This concept of life progression through the 12 houses is not about determining your destiny but rather about unlocking the potential that each period of life holds. Age does not strictly bind one to a house, but there is an inherent synchronicity between certain stages of life and the themes of the houses.

post-1

The Foundation: Houses 1 through 3

In our early years, the 1st House, or the House of Self, reigns supreme, highlighting self-discovery and identity formation. The 2nd House follows, governing possessions and values, often explored during late childhood and teen years as we begin to understand the material world and our relation to it. By our 20s, the 3rd House, associated with communication and learning, takes prominence, reflecting our pursuit of education and the beginning steps in forming our social surroundings.

post-3

Maturing Years: Houses 4 through 6

As we establish our roots and seek security, we arrive at the 4th House, which represents home and family life, commonly coming to focus in our late 20s and 30s. The 5th House is the domain of creativity and pleasure, echoing the joy of self-expression and perhaps child-rearing, usually experienced in the 30s to 40s. The responsible 6th House signifies health and service, mirroring the stage of life in our 40s and 50s where career, routine, and well-being are paramount.

post-5

Relating to The Outer World: Houses 7 through 9

As individuals move towards their later adult years, the 7th House, which encompasses relationships and partnerships, becomes more relevant. In what is commonly our 50s and 60s, our focus shifts towards intimate relationships and significant partnerships. Subsequently, the transformative 8th House, governing change and deeper relational bonds, including shared resources, resonates during the 60s and 70s. The 9th House, associated with higher philosophy and long journeys, ideally corresponds to the 70s and beyond, as we seek deeper meanings and reflect upon life’s experiences.

Fulfillment and Legacy: Houses 10 through 12

Moving into one's 60s and retirement, the 10th House, related to career and public life, imbues a sense of fulfillment and the desire to leave a lasting legacy. Following this period, the 11th House, representing friendships and group activities, dominates into the 70s and 80s, connecting us with like-minded communities. Lastly, the 12th House comes into play, as it represents the subconscious, solitude, and the completion of the astrological cycle, ideally supporting us in our late years, as we integrate life experiences into a holistic view of our journey.
